How Does It Work?
We use wire and plastic braces, which over a period of time move the teeth into the desired position which improves both appearance and function.

What is the best age for treatment?
We do not start treatment until a patient is at least
8 years old but usually wait until they are 11 or 12.

Its never too late to benefit from orthodontic treatment.

What happens at the first appointment?
All our new patients have a 15 minute appointment with an orthodontist for examination and diagnosis - options for treatment can then be discussed. Only children with moderately to severly crooked teeth can be accepted for NHS treatment.

How Long Does It Take?
Treatment takes anything from a few weeks
to 2 years to complete.
